Describe a time you drove remediation of a widespread issue across teams you didn't control.
Strong answers show systems thinking and influence, not nagging tickets. Structure: (1) quantify and frame the issue — how many services, what risk, in business terms; (2) make it easy to fix — provide the patch, a migration guide, or an automated PR, not just a 'please fix' ticket; (3) get air cover — align with leadership on an SLA/OKR so teams can prioritize it; (4) track transparently — a shared dashboard of who's remediated vs. outstanding creates healthy peer pressure; (5) prevent recurrence — add a guardrail/CI check so the issue can't come back. The senior signal is turning a one-off cleanup into a durable control and moving the org without relying on authority you don't have.
